Day 1: Karibu Kenia, welcome to Kenya!
This journey starts at the airport in Addis Ababa. Upon arrival in Kenya, you show your negative PCR-test, and the journey can really begin. Our driver will be waiting for you at the airport. He will provide you with face masks and hand sanitzer. Arriving at your accommodation, you can choose to either discover the crazy urban city, or relax in the tropical garden sipping of a fresh cocktail.
Day 2: Boat trip on lake Naivasha
On to Lake Naivasha! You will travel less than 3 hours along amazing views of the Great Rift Valley and reach you destination. Enjoy the cool water and get ready for a boat trip on Lake Oloiden in the end of the afternoon. Enjoy a beautiful sunset, while keeping a close eye on the hippos from a distance.
Day 3: Biking in Hells Gate National Park
Enjoy a hearty breakfast, put on good sports clothes and sunburn! It’s time to go cycling in the traditional Dutch way! No flat surfaces and flower fields this time, but dirt roads and wildlife in Hells Gate National Park! This is an unforgettable experience! Pay close attention, and you may recognize this environment from a very famous Disney movie…
Day 4: Homestay and hike around Taita Hills
Leave all wildlife behind and drive towards the evergreen Taita Hills. When you think of Kenya, you may not think of green jungles, but nothing is less true. The Taita Hills are a hidden gem that few tourists visit, an off the beaten track location! Today you overnight with Mama Rose and her family. Learn how to make chapatis, taste the local food and experience more about the Kenyan culture.
Day 5-7: Relaxing at the Kenian coast
When you are in Kenya, you cannot skip the amazing tropical coast. The last days of your trip will end on a pearl white beach and the azure blue ocean. Before you know it, you are enjoying a coconut in the shade of a palm tree or you are waking up to the sound of the sea in the background. Enjoy your surrounding and the local people before flying back to Addis Ababa on day 7.
